An insulted veteran recently wrote an editorial repeating a Democrat talking point in the Atlantic Magazine. It was a coordinated hit job involving the press, Democratic operatives, and leftist groups connected to the military.
The anonymously sourced so-called "story" claimed President Trump said American troops buried in France were "losers". Within 24 hours of the "story" breaking, a left wing group called Vote Vets produced an ad based on the article and aired in on MSNBC's Morning Joe. The Atlantic is owned by Jo Biden mega-donor Laurene Jobs. The "fake news story" was denied by the White House.
The Pilot also ran a Guest Commentary on "Climate Change". This editorial had several "fake news" false statements. First, it said recent temperatures were unprecedented. The truth is the "Roman Warm Period" and the "Medieval Warm Period" were warmer than our current climate.
The second false statement was that global warming is due to human activities, caused by increased levels of CO2. Actually, nature creates 96.6 percent of the increase or decrease of CO2 levels. Carbon dioxide is only a trace greenhouse gas. Humanity's contribution to CO2 is nominal. Massive amounts of CO2 are released or absorbed by the oceans annually, depending on the ocean's temperature, primarily caused by solar radiation.
The third false statement is that man caused climate change is non-political.
The Green New deal proposed by Joe Biden and AOC is not really about climate change. It is a neo-Marxist forced re-invention of society. The Democratic party has been taken over by extreme socialists who are expected to do poorly in the 2020 election. The "fake media" polls over count democrats by 8%. Trump's internal polls show he will do better in 2020 than 2016.

One is wise to sell on the rumor of bad news and buy on the fact. Gold is approaching over a year of consolidation on the rumor of Fed tightening and a rate hike. Next week the Fed is expected to increase its bond purchase taper and hint of more aggressive rate hikes in 2022. However, there is almost a two year lag between money printing and inflation.
